I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream!!!!

This is truly a result of ice cream and sand for 3 girls. Elise had her first ice cream cone the other day, and she was literally screaming for icecream because we had to pry her fingers off the ice cream cone to get her away from it. She was screaming sooooo loud, but she was covered head to toe in ice cream, she rode the rest of the way home in an ice cream diaper.

Family fun

We took a family trip to the beach last Saturday. We really tried to do the family picture thing, and I think that it turned out as good as it could. If anyone knows how to get all 3 children looking at the camera at the same time, please let me know. We had a fun time though and I will post more pictures. For some reason this blog will only let me post 5 pics at a time.

Conversation of the day

We were driving down the road yesterday, and all of us girls like to talk and sing as we are going down the road.
A conversation started with Averie... " Mom...why did God create bees, crickets, and flys?"
MOM.. " well, God created bees for the honey that we eat, crickets
for their pretty songs that they sing at night, and flys...
well... I will have to get back to you on that one."
BRAEDY... "mom... God created the sky, our hearts, trees, plants,
animals, and everything, He sure was busy wasnt he?"
BRAEDY..."mom... God should take a REST!!!"

If anyone knows why God created flys, please get back to me on that one. We know he had a purpose for making them, but I am not sure why.

More new faces

Decided to be spontaneous and think outside of the box!!! I wanted to be BOLD and COURAGOUS!!!! No, not superwoman, but decided to do some engagement pictures. I have never done them before, but when this couple asked me if I would do pictures for them I said "YES." Saturday they came so that we could meet, and I ended up taking some pictures of them. These are just a few of them that I snapped. There will be more on my website, once Molly and Mark view their pictures for themself. This couple is planning a fairytale wedding at a castle in Charlevoix, MI. They are such a sweet and CUTE little couple. Thanks guys for allowing me to take your pictures

My little birthday girls celebration

I thought that I would share some pictures of Elises birthday. We had a great day, even though mommy was a tad bit on the emotional side. We will just say tad bit, dont let our daddy know that we said tad bit, he would have to beg to differ with those words. We went to the park and spent time on the playground and then fed the ducks. Elise wasnt bothered by those ducks just kept trying to chase them. I think one even snipped at her, and she just giggled away!!! Glad it was her, because if one snipped at me I think I would have let out a giant YELP!!!!! We had pizza and cake at night - do you think she ate any of the cake? She kept thinking that the plate was a hat!!! Good girl - get your creative juices flowing already!!!!

New creations

O.k. so I broke the mold and tried to do something differant than my same plaques that I have been making. Go spontaneous and get something new, branch out I thought. So these are 2 of the projects that I have been working on for people lately. I was very nervous about the 2 of them, because it was all new to me other than making the other ones that I have been doing. But, I dont think that they turned out that bad!!! And the owners of these 2 signs really seem to like them as well, at least they say, lets hope they are not fibbing!!!! Please dont ask me about the CHOWDER one, I guess there is some family history behind that one and she thought it would go great in her kitchen. Oh well, I am willing to do anything that people ask for, it sure helps out pay for 2 little girls to go to school next year!!

Happy Birthday Elise Nicole

Its sad to say but yes, my baby you are 1 years old. Mommy shed a few tears rocking you to sleep last night, and I am sure there will be just a few more shed today. It is sooo hard to believe that a year has come and gone. God has certainly blessed us with you. The minuite you were born we knew that you were going to be a child of God and now you already know that Jesus is in heaven by pointing to Him in the sky. You are such a bundle of fun, and you learn something new every day. It is fun to see you develop into such a fun and unique little girl. We love you soooo much and so do your sisters, grandmas and grandpas, uncles and aunties, friends, etc. We just hope and pray that God blesses you with many many many more happy years ahead. We can certainly see the fingerprints of God when we look at you. Love you Lisey!!!!

Happy Birthday Braedyn Joelle

Happy birthday my sweetie!!! 5 years ago at 1:40 a.m we welcomed you with open arms into this world. God has certainly blessed us with you!!! You are a barrel full of energy and a monkey full fledged. We love how you love to snuggle, and you always have a giving spirit. You are very full of life, and we cant ever stop laughing at the way you do your cartwheels and always just want to bounce around. Your so willing to try everything and a daredevil. We certainly love you so much, and just pray that God gives you many many more years of a long and happy life.

Anywhere but up!!!

O.K so I tried taking some cute shots of Lisey yesterday at the park, but she was just not cooperating!! She wanted to do anything but look at the camera. I think they still turned out cute, but I guess 3rd time is the charm for looking!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!!! We have the Dykstra shindig tonight for Braedy, Cam and Elise's birthday. Man, July sure was a great time to be born. Keeps grandma D. a hoppin or should I say a shoppin!!! Happy birthday to the Dykstra cousins!!

Another week done and gone

WHEW!!! What a day!!! But, a fun day that is. It just seems like these weeks are flying by, and the summer is half over, it is a cryin shame!!! But, on the other hand how many more days until school starts!! These monkeys need to go back to their banana tree for a while during the day!!!

Well, Braedy had a really fun morning. Full of Hannah Montana, makeup and making flip flops. Next time I do a party though, remind me that it takes more than one person to run a party with 6 girls at it, and they all need help making their flip flops. They were all so cute when they were done though. Then we went to a family reunion on my moms side with people that I havent seen in over a decade!!! I didnt know half of them, but its good to act like you know them. Oh well, it was a fun day all in all. And, now I have the baby sleeping peacefully, while I look in and watch her peacefully sleep, it reminds me that I only have 5 more days of babyhood and then she will take over the toddlerhood - YIKES!!!! Looking forward to it. The other two scondrals think they can stay up until 11:00 tonight watching a movie. Lets see how long that lasts until the first eyeball starts drooping!!!

The last picture is a family sticker that I created, but I did create the rest of the family. I promise!!! Dont know what happened to them, maybe they are just sleeping. Well... I didnt intend for this to be my blog for the day, but I cross my heart that I will post more later.
Braedy's big birthday party is this morning with her friends, and we have a family reunion this afternoon. I need to get going on the pasta salad for that I have to make enough to feed an army!!! Stay tuned for more pictures of the day!!! : )

Birthday Schmirthday!!!!!!

All this talk about birthdays around here, I think Averie is feeling a little left out. So this blog is for you my sweet Averie.
Braedy and Lisey's birthday are both next week, and Braedy is having a big birthday party with her friends here tomarrow. Then we will have more birthday stuff for her on Sunday and Monday, and then Thursday is Lisey's first birthday. Poor Averie her birthday isnt until October, she has to wait such a long time!!! Wait till these gals turn 30 they wont anxiously await their birthdays anymore!!!
Sorry its been a whole week since I have updated. Elise has been on the fritz with a rash on her leg that the doctors cant figure it out. I think that I am going to become a doctor. Christian education would be well paid for then. I am well on my way to becoming one. I didnt know what was wrong with her in the first place, I could have just earned myself $75 in just copays from dermatology and pediatrician, not to mention the $1000/hour that I would get just for looking at her. Then $50 for perscriptions that I would have earned just for referring and having my messy handwriting on the bottom of a peice of paper. Sounds like I could just have the money rolling in!!! I wouldnt even have to go to school for years on end if all I have to do is tell people "I dont know what it is!" Then Averie would be able to get millions of super balls - that is her favorite thing lately. At 25 cents for a super ball, she could probably get at least 100 of them.

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a fun 4th of July. May you get the most candy in your bag from the parade, stuff your tummy with hotdogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, corn on the cob, chips, potato salad and lemonade, get sunburn from the pool or lake, and get an eyeful of beauty at the fireworks. Most of all just have plain old fun!!!! And, happy birthday to my sweet little nephew Cam who turns 5 today!!!! Happy birthday big boy!!!!

New Faces

I am soo sorry its been a while since I have updated you on the fam. Things have been crazy around here and the summer is quickly passing by!!! I thought that I would change things up a bit, and not post photos of my kiddos. Yesterday I had my very first photography session, and I had the pleasure of photographing little Megan Visser. She is a very sweet little 2 week old. Just brings me back to the days of infantism. Very wonderful!!! My baby is no longer an infant!!! Anyway, thought that I would share some pictures of this sweet little bundle!!!!
