I just had to snap these pictures. Espessially when I caught Lisey playing in the mud!! She did take a taste of the yummy chocolate too!!! Averie and Braedyn wont get near mud!! So to have pictures of 1 kid in the mud is great!!! : ) I might have my boy afterall!! This faucet and mud could have been a fun thing for a lot longer if I would have let her. Faucet...Cheap Toy!!!

Gods Creation...Perfect!!!

My friend Jill took my to an absolutly beautiful area of Gods great creation today. Full of absolutly gorgous flowers and plants, couldnt stop taking pictures of the girls by them. Then you look up in the sky while you are completly surrounded by wheat and grass and just get gulped in amazement. The Great God has definatly "spoiled" us by allowing us His children to live in such beauty. Stay tuned for more pictures of the girls in the flowers.

I'll cry if I want to!!!

Yup, its not all fun and games when it comes to snapping pictures of my kids. For the most part they love it. If they are in one of those moods though forget it. Hey, we all have our days dont we?!?!? Wait until these girls get older and we ask them to take their pics during that special time of the month. They wont be smiling then either. This will actually be daddys face when all 4 of us have our special visitors.

Another one bights the dust

So its out with the old and in with the new!!! Now we have 2 bottom teeth missing. This one has wrestling pop out behind it. Yes, girls do wrestle with each other too, but they SCREAM when they wrestle. This tooth fairy that comes to our house is really spoiled. We had to lay a little snack out on the night stand for this pretty little gem that comes tonight. A snack that all dentists would love - CARROTS!!! Yup, there is 2 carrots on the night stand for the tooth fairy to nibble on tonight. Hopefully she doesnt get too carried away eating the carrots that she forgets to drop of the tooth fairy certificate and the expected addition to the Averie fund.

Bittersweet!!!

It is ever so hard to believe that my little baby will be 1 in 1 more month. Time flies espessially with sweet children!!! I want to just freeze time and not even let them grow up!!!! I know that I do have to give them wings and let them grow up and fly though!!! But it is so hard to see them grow up espessially when you love them unconditionally and with your whole heart!!! I just pray that they grow up to love their Heavenly father and lead a life that is worthy of praise!!! I cannot believe that one year ago I was counting down the days until I grabbed my 2 legs in stirrups and scream with all of my might so that I would have this precious angel come out, and now here I am not wanting to count the days until she is one. If only we could keep them little for just a little while longer!!!

Sweet Chickadee bum bum

How can I resist putting my sweet darlin on too!!! I couldnt fit the photos of her on the previous post.

Su Su Summertime

It is officially summertime and our beach is out back. The girls took swimming lessons and were done with them last week. Each one of the girls got really good remarks from their teachers as to how much they already knew. So the swimming lessons are done, time to move on to teaching them how to pick up their bathing suits and clothes and towels. It seems they have forgotten how to keep their bathing suit on all day, and to help mom with the laundry by using only one towel during the day. Every 45 minuites they decide that what they are doing is getting old, so if they are in the pool they think they need to come in and change into a new clean outfit other than what they had on before. 45 minuites later the playing gets old, and out come the bathing suits that mom had just taken off the floor along with the towels that mom had so neatly put away, because they had barely used them, this goes on and on and on until the end of the day. I think that the money that they get for marketing their lemonade at the end of the driveway will start paying for laundry detergent and water when we get that sweet bill. Oh well, at least I am getting my exercise!! : )

2 posts in one day : )

I know - two posts in one day. But all bittersweetness is involved. As I am sitting here typing this blog my girlies are playing house - yes the basement is utter disaster zone - but who cares they are having fun and not fighting - what not fighting - jot that one in the book!!! Anyway, as they are sitting there eating their dinner while playing house - Braedyn says a prayer I did not catch all of it - but what I did hear her say is "Be with all of us and keep us safe, and help us to obey and be nice to our mom and dad." If only they werent playing and that was a real prayer - what amazement that would be!!!! Bless her heart for trying to play though!!! Maybe someday that will be a real prayer from one of them. Lets not count our chickens before their hatched though.

Poor kids

My poor kids, everytime we go somewhere or do something I have to take my camera and snap pics of them. Guess that is what happens when I love the camera and taking pictures. They are learning - they now play with their toy cameras - an old one of when I was a teenager and they set up photo studios and play photographer. Could be a family business someday. Great way to pay for their weddings - since we will have 3 to pay for. I have included pics of the girls that I took of them when we went to the park not too long ago!!! By the way, if you know someone who needs shots done of babies, children, seniors, or families please spread the word. I love people making referrals and you will be rewarded for your referrals.

Storms bring out the best or WORST!!!

O.K. so it has been rainy and stormy for the past 3 days or nights in a row, why does it seem like my kids are sooo crabby!!! Or is it that they are growing into their teenage years way to early!!! I think we have a fashion deva on our hands as well as a circus clown and a monkey. Put all of those together and what does that give us, well.... I remain clueless. This all on a Sunday morning when things are hairy as it is literally hairy. I have the oldest that thinks that everyone is going to see her "boobies" in her dress, and screaming so that the whole world will hear her, and then to top it off pony tails dont look nice in her hair. I have Braedy that is twirling cartwheels in the bathroom while Averie is screaming pony tails are wierd and then I have Elise that is trying to get into the shower while her daddy is taking one, this making water fly all over the bathroom, Braedy still twirling like an acrobat and Averie still screaming pony tails are wierd. Not to mention all of this and daddy is singing in the shower!!!! Needless to say I really looking forward to sitting in church and hearing a sermon, but I think that I could have checked my self in a wheel chair with the old man that passed out in church. I will look back at this and laugh someday, and I do count myself as blessed to have healthy children screaming at me, twirling cartwheels, and trying to get a drink from the shower, but I still remain to have an absolutly PERFECT Sunday morning, like the picture above. Does bribbing really work?

Question of the year!!

O.K. so I am just wondering if any of you know why men talk to the t.v. when they watch sports. Do they think that the players have some special kind of hearing and that they (the men) are the players most important people that they listen to them and only them. I am sorry, but I dont get it!!!

On many occassions, I will be sitting watching (attempting to watch) a game that I really dont get and dont care to understand, and I will hear "NOOOOO" "Why did you do that?" "Common D." "Go for it!!!!" that followed by "UUUGGGHHH!!!!!" What is the deal?

Cant they just sit in peace and watch the game? Espessially when they are just by themselves with no buddy, son, dad, or dad in law do talk with them. But wait, I think that would make it worse - you would have more than one person screaming at the t.v. as if it was going to answer back to you. I dont know maybe they have some special thing with the player that they secretly talk back to them in some intellectual way!!!!

If any of you know how this goes on please let me know!! Until then I will remain clueless!!!

Night before graduation

It is graduation in the Dykstra family tomarrow. Yes it is that time already!!! Time has gone by sooo fast and our babies are growing up. It is an exciting time and how do you get ready for Kindergarden graduation? Well, Averie thinks that there will be a great big shindig at our house with balloons, presants, cake and a huge tent. Little does she now that maybe we might be taking a trip to the new ice cream shop on the corner of Baldwin and 36th and that is about it!!!! She will just have to save her excitement for 12 more years!!!! : ) Averie and her cousin Carter will be graduating from Kindergarden tomarrow night. Aaahhh the good ol days of being in Kindergarden, no worries except if your going to have enough time to finish your snack before you go out on the playground for recess, and then who you are going to invite over to your house to play after school - even though your mom doesnt know anything about it!!!!

It is truly hard to believe that 6 1/2 years ago our first baby was brought home and now by the grace of God we have an almost 1st grader that has led her this far and hopefully by His grace give her many many many more years ahead of her, so we can celebrate her 12th grade graduation, her wedding and our grandchildren, along with all the same years of our other 2 blessings.

Graduation pictures to come - stay tuned!!!!! :)
