Great things to do when when the kids have nothing to do.

I had to post these pictures of Elise because I thought they were tooo cute!!!!

Well, we went up north to Scottville this weekend. We had a family reunion for my moms side up there at my Uncle Jim and Aunt Alices house. They own a ton of farm land, and have for all of their married life. There are barns and farmland and that is what you see besides their familys houses. They live in one house and the rest of the kids live on the same street and right down the road from them with the exception of a few of them. So every year we go there, and there is always lots to do. You may think what is there to do in the farm land. Well, when I was little we used to visit and we got to milk the cows and give the calves a bottle. Now when my kids go there with us they hunt for money in the saw dust - yes real money!!!! Maybe I shouldnt tell anyone that, I might have a crowd that wants to come with next year. My kids each usually come home with $2 - $3 worth of pennies, nickels and dimes in a baggy. They try to bring it to church the next day for collection, but can you just think of what the deacons would be thinking with the pennies and dimes and sawdust in the collection plate. Hey, at least they are willing to put it in - got to give them credit. After that gets done, everyone gets ready for the popcorn race were you have to wear a cup of popcorn on one foot and a flipper on the other foot and try to go a certain distance and around a chair without spilling your cup of popcorn. I imagine the birds had a hay day the next day with all of the popcorn all over the ground. After that everyone piles in the Kawasakis or walks down to the spring fed creek and races their homemade wooden boats that everyone made with hammers and nails a couple of years ago.
