Photoshopping

No I am not shopping for photos, just doing some Photoshop on my pictures. I got photoshop quite a while ago, but did not get any tutorial or any learning cd with it. So I am gradually trying to take every little time that I get by myself and trying to learn the Elements of Photoshop. Here is just a little playing around that I did. Dan likes the "glow" that some people get in their pictures. Its really called a vignette, but he just likes to call it a glow. So I am trying to please him by getting that special glow. So far I think I am starting to get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect I guess, looks like I have a lot of practicing to do. Someday I hope to be that PRO. : )

DREAM BIG!!!!

O.k. so I know it has been a really long time since I have posted something, but the holidays marching in and the kiddos and the hubby home kept me away for a while. The holidays were wonderful. We have been soooo blessed with such a great abundance of family and friends to be around during the holidays. ABUNDANT BLESSINGS!!! Truly!!! : ) Well, 2009 has come in, and I am not usually one for making resolutions, because my resolutions usually end up in flames, but with constant prayer I think that maybe just maybe I can make this one suceed!!! Or I hope that I can anyway. I have titled this blog as DREAM BIG!!!! That I am doing. My dream is to become an aspiring photographer, one where I can carry out the name I have given to this photography as ABUNDANT BLESSINGS. I would love to be bring about Abundant Blessings for people, by being able to capture their lifetime moments and their every personalities and hopes. My dream is to just become that photographer that can capture the creation that God has so placed in front of us by capturing people in their full environment and in the comfort of Gods creation. He not only created this AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL world, but also AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL people, and that is what I dream to photograph. I have started off small, and only one day dream to advance to LARGE!! Without the help of God, I cannot do that. Also, without the help of others thru God I cannot do that. I am going to be taking some upcoming classes in the field of photography and I am very excited to do this. God is already leading me and guiding me, and I feel very blessed!!! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!!! Thank you to everyone who reads my blog and to all those who in the past I have been able to photograph. I truly LOVE you all!!!

From our family to yours - Merry Christmas - and a Happy New Year!!

As we celebrate the birthday of our king - I want to just say Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!! We are soooo blessed. We have family, faith, friends, and most of all we have the love of Christ in our hearts. So many years ago God sent His one and only son into this world so that He could shed His amazing blood on the cross, so we could be free!!! Today we celebrate that birth of our King!!!! Thanks be to Christ for His unspeakable GIFT!!!! Have a great day everyone!!!!

Baby its cold outside

It is sooo cold outside, ice crystals are forming on our windows. Yikes thats pretty cold. I went to the grocery store this morning too and it is sooo cold that my fingers hurt from the store to the van to unload groceries. I had to sit on my fingers and put them by the heater immediatly. I sure dont ever remember it being this cold - I am not one to like the cold temps - It just makes me want to curl up in a blankie and sip hot chocolate all day. But, what would we do if we didnt have

these temps and snow and we lived in warm weather all the time. I think that we would definatly want some of it. I think we take it for granted a little - at least I do. I am glad that I live in Michigan. What would Christmas be like without the snow and cold!!! I dont know if I would like it. Just makes it a little more like the feeling of Christmas!!! Winter Wonderland

Even tho the temps outside are at below freezing the kids still wanted to head outside. This was a job for daddy, as mommy didnt want to be in the fridged temps. They went outside for about 15 minuites enough to get their cheeks rosy red!!! Then they were back in trampin inside with the wet floor from the boots and all the mess for mom to clean up again!!!! Time for some hot chocolate!!!! : )

Christmas in the air

So I try to get my kiddos to try to take their pics in their Christmas dresses every year!!! Well, only one has cooperated with me sooo far. The one is either in school or doing homework, and the other girlie is well lets just say 16 MONTHS!!! She has other ideas in mind other than doing pictures!!! So here is one and hopefully I can get all 3 in soon!!!! Blessed Christmas to all!!!
